It may get second billing, but the beauty side of the Style Hair and Beauty business is an attraction that gets customers coming back time after time.

The art of beauty does not stand still - and there are plenty of new treatments on offer for those who believe in looking after themselves.

Therapists Kelly and Carrie's ability to put clients at ease is all-important, and they are ready to advise on which treatment , new or old, is the best one to try.

New in town is the Vani-T spray tan, an organic alternative that originated in Australia. It lasts for seven days, smells like chocolate, is totally safe - and you won't find another salon able to offer it for miles around.

Likewise the Vital Feeling body treatment using Gatineau products will have you exfoliated and relaxed in just a few minutes. Both new treatments have been introduced recently but have been a great success.

Kelly spends most of her time involved in the massage side of the treatments, using stones or hot pads, and warns her skills are not for the faint-hearted - her customers come back again and again for the firm touch.

Privacy is crucial for treatments that get so up close and personal, so clients know they will get a room to themselves and a locked door for the duration of the process.

Carrie specialises in electrolysis and waxing, a perennial favourite, and the salon offers the 'Brazilian' and 'Holllywood' styles - details on request! Carrie is new to the salon and is hoping to bring in some new treatments in the near future. She loves manicures and pedicures.

Heather is a Style hair and Beauty veteran who these days works only between 11 and 8pm on Thursdays and every other Saturday between 8.30 and 12.30. Following the birth of her daughter Poppy she rejoined us in March 2011.

Men are welcome and, although still in a minority, tend to go for massage and facials. "There are lots of men who want to look after themselves and who think the way they look is important" says Kelly.
