Senior designer Kate was there on the day Style Hair and Beauty opened - but she was having a haircut at the time! Kate, then in her thirties, started as a customer, but decided to take an NVQ in hairdressing as a mature student. Her connection with the SH&B family goes back even further - Tracey's Mum, also a hairdresser, used to cut Kate's hair when she was a girl. "Not many salons will take on mature students, so I've been very lucky" she adds.
