Before you arrive….

We have put in place some new safe working procedures, following advice from the government and the National Hair and Beauty Federation. To make sure we adhere to social distancing measures the salon will have longer opening hours and the team will be split in to two smaller teams and work in shifts, to reduce numbers in the building.

Our New Hours will be  9am-9pm

Some changes you will notice:

  1. Signs have been put up around the salon and on the front door to remind clients of social distancing measures, as well as reminding people we no longer accept walk-ins.

  2. We have installed Perspex screens at the reception desk and between the seats at the backwash.

  3. Some chairs have been taken away to ensure there is a 2-meter gap between each client.

  4. Our team will be wearing visors at all times and will have their temperatures taken at the start of each day.

  5. Gowns and towels will be washed in antibacterial wash after every use and disposable towels will also be used.

  6. We will only have water available in disposable cups at the moment.

  7. No under 14 year olds to be in the salon. We will initially not be offering children appointments.

  8. We will not be offering dry cut appointments.

  9. We will not be offering any discounts for the first 6 weeks such as student or OAP discounts.

Some things we ask of our clients:

  1. Only 1 person in reception area at a time. You may be asked to wait outside if the reception area is occupied.

  2. All clients MUST wear a mask when in the salon, if you do not have one you can purchase one from reception.

  3. All clients will have their temperature taken when the arrive.

  4. Our waiting area has been removed and you will now be seated in your stylists’ chair straight away.

  5. All clients are to use hand sanitizer on arrival.

  6. You will be given a bag on arrival which will contain all your required gown, towels etc.Once you have put these on you will place your personal belongings into the bag and keep this with you until you leave. Please reframe from bringing large coats and handbags into the salon if at all possible.

  7. Please bring your own reading material as we will no longer be offering magazines.

  8. All clients will be asked to attend their appointment alone.

Some new working practices:

  1. We will only be open for pre- booked appointments to start with, please no walk ins.

  2. Each stylist will have their own styling station with a trolley of their own equipment, that will be sterilized after every use.

  3. Each station will be thoroughly cleaned after every client and all staff are to wash their hands thoroughly after every client.

  4. We will now be taking deposits when booking appointments and there will be a 48-hour cancellation notice.

  5. Due to the government guidelines of PPE a surcharge will also be added to services to cover this.

  6. Initially we will be doing CARD payments only. Tips are at the clients discretion and need to given to stylists in cash.We will have no cash to change up notes or add tips onto cards.

Although we will do our upmost to keep all our clients and staff safe, it does remain the client’s responsibility to make sure you are safe to visit us.

We respectfully ask you NOT to visit us if you or anyone else in your household are feeling unwell.

Please do not put our team and fellow clients at risk.

We can rebook your appointment once you do not have symptoms.

We look forward to opening our doors again soon and cannot wait to catch up with you all.

In the mean time stay safe, keep smiling and take care

Love the Style Hair & Beauty team
